Bradford or Lowry Assays can give you total protein concentration

A convenient and fast method for measuring the protein concentration of many samples is to use a 96-well plate and the Ao absorbance reader and Bradford or Lowry assays. In these assays, the relative concentration of protein in a solution is proportional to a change in absorbance.

Silver or Coomassie staining your gel is a convenient way to evaluate relative amounts of protein

After a purification procedure or other assay involving concentrated proteins (as compared to a heterogeneous lysate), visualize your proteins in the gel directly after resolving using a visible protein stain. Fluorescent Western Blotting allows relative quantitation between proteins of interest

Fluorescence as a detection method allows a quantitative view of the target protein. The light emitted is directly proportional to the amount of dye-conjugated antibody, so quantitation of a protein of interest can be performed using standards, or relative quantitation can be performed between different samples or between different proteins in the same sample (such as modified protein species). Our fluorescent Western blotting blocking buffer, wash buffer, incubation trays, fluorescent antibodies, and other products can help provide optimal results.
