Dublin, CA – September 1, 2015 Azure Biosystems is proud to announce a major upgrade to the capture software, v1.6, for the cSeries imaging platforms. The new software considerably expands the image-capture options, improving the quality of the images and providing a smoother user experience.
A major advancement in the functionality of the new software is support for the stain-free workflow. Processing stain-free gels has been made easier, with the stain-free workflow included in the gel processing tab. The software now has a UV gel setting that can be selected for stain-free activation, followed by image capture. This option provides a simple one-step processing for stain-free gel users.
Users of the chemiluminescent applications of the cSeries will benefit from a number of new features. One feature is a new multi-mode option, which allows for up to 10 different images to be captured with different exposure times, all at once. Additionally, improvements have been made to the autoexpose function, so it is now simpler and faster to get the perfect image. Finally, the new software makes it easier to include markers on chemiluminescent blots by merging the chemiluminescent image with the white light image of the marker. The addition of these features makes the user experience for chemiluminescent Western imaging more streamlined and accelerates the imaging workflow.
“Azure Biosystems has worked closely with our customers all over the globe to understand how we could improve our capture software,” said Lisa Isailovic, Director of Marketing at Azure Biosystems. “We were able to identify areas for improvement and then rapidly implement these changes to satisfy our customers’ needs. Initial feedback has been positive, especially for the chemi marker feature, and we are confident that new users of the cSeries will find it easier to get great images with the expanded features.”
Azure Biosystems will begin shipping the new software in September 2015.
