Job Description

Azure Biosystems is a California-based life science instrumentation company that develops, manufactures, and markets innovative instruments and products in the Proteomics and Genomics workflow for biological research and development purposes including Western blot, qPCR and flow cytometry.

Who We’re Looking For

Software Engineer, qpCR, located in Northern California, US, Full-time

Azure is looking for a software engineer to join a fast-paced, high growth environment to join our real-time PCR development team. You will work within a dynamic marketing and R&D group.

Education
  • B.S/M.S./Ph.D. degree in computer science, bioengineering or closely related field
Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more object-oriented programming languages such as: C#, C++, Java
  • Extensive experience in qPCR instruments and data analysis software
  • Experience leading software development projects
  • Good communication skills and team player
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing and Application teams to develop software requirements
  • Lead system software architectural design
  • Lead software product development planning
  • Develop easy to use Software (including GUI) to control complex hardware components
  • Develop qPCR data analysis algorithms and software modules
  • Communicate with development partners
  • Manage SW releases and version control

General

  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other team members
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
